Noillirk Tips & How to Play

Noillirk is a free daily game where you try to give the answer most people would give. Its name is "Krillion" spelled backwards, and its goal is the reverse of Krillion, where rare answers win. This is an unofficial guide; you can't play the game on this site.

Where to play Noillirk

There are two different versions online. We could not confirm how they are related, so we describe each one as it presents itself.

What the game lets slide

Noillirk scoring

Each prompt has a board: the game's advance estimate of how 100 people would answer, marked "(est.)". It is not a live count of other players.

BandYour answer is…Base points
#1 Answerthe top answer on the board100
Runner-up#2 or #3 on the board75
Top 5in the board's top 550
Top 10in the board's top 1025
Off the Boardaccepted, but not in the top 1010

Multipliers

PromptsMultiplierMost you can score per prompt
1–2×1100
3–5×2200
6–8×3300
9–10×4400

A perfect day is 2,500 points.

The crowd you pull

Every 25 points pulls one person from a crowd of 100 onto your side, and the result reads "You pulled N of 100". The leaderboard ranks by people pulled; points are only used to break ties. End-of-game titles include Mind Reader (3 or more #1 Answers) and Hit or Miss (2 or more #1 Answers and 3 or more Off the Board), plus others such as Crowd Whisperer, Close Call, Own Lane and Free Thinker.

Noillirk tips (straight from the rules)

These tips follow directly from the rules above. They are not based on play statistics.

  1. The last prompts are worth the most. Prompts 9–10 count ×4, so a #1 Answer there is worth 400 points — as much as four #1 Answers on prompts 1–2. Rule: multipliers.
  2. Never pass if you have any guess. Any accepted answer scores at least 10 base points (Off the Board), while a pass or time-out scores 0. Rule: passing and the Off the Board band.
  3. A rejected answer only costs time. "Not on our list" keeps the clock running, so type another answer straight away. Rule: rejected answers.
  4. Don't slow down for spelling details. Case, accents, punctuation, "the/a/an", plurals and one typo in longer answers are all forgiven. Short answers (under 5 characters) still need exact spelling. Rule: what the game lets slide.
  5. Aim for the obvious answer. The board is a prepared estimate of how 100 people answer, and the top spot pays 100 base points versus 10 for an accepted answer outside the top 10. Rule: the board and scoring bands.
  6. Watch the red bar. When the bar turns red you have 10 seconds left; give your best common answer before time runs out rather than scoring 0. Rule: the clock.
